Integrated CNC Fabrication & Hot-Dip Galvanizing

CustomParts-MFG provides full-process hot dip galvanizing paired with in-house CNC machining & metal fabrication, complying with ASTM A123, ASTM A153 and ISO1461 global industry standards. Our molten zinc metallurgical bonding coating delivers long-lasting anti-corrosion protection for carbon steel, cast iron structural parts, fasteners and outdoor machinery components widely used in construction, energy, marine and agriculture sectors. Integrated pre-treatment, hot-dipping, cooling and post-processing eliminate third-party outsourcing risks while realizing full zinc coverage on complex geometry including edges, inner cavities and sharp corners.

Four Core Anodizing Process Types

  • Type II Sulfuric Acid Anodizing: General-purpose thin-film finish with clear or customizable dyed colors; excellent anti-corrosion for consumer hardware, automotive casings and regular industrial aluminum parts.
  • Type III Hardcoat Anodizing (MIL-A-8625): Extra thick dense oxide layer featuring outstanding abrasion resistance and electrical insulation, ideal for high-load aerospace, defense and heavy mechanical moving components.
  • Custom Color Anodizing: Stable organic dye or electrolytic coloring including black, bronze and customized shades for brand differentiation and UV protection.
  • Chromate Conversion (Chemical Film): Ultra-thin lightweight conductive coating for aluminum, used as paint base layer and corrosion barrier for aviation & electronic fittings.

Hot Dip Galvanizing Standard Process

Hot Dip Galvanizing Standard Process

We execute standardized hot dip galvanizing procedures with optional post-finishing:

  • Degreasing Cleaning: Remove surface grease and impurities with hot alkaline liquid.
  • Acid Pickling: Clear steel rust and oxide layers via acid bath treatment.
  • Flux Pre-Coating: Apply zinc ammonium chloride flux to prevent re-oxidation.
  • Hot-Dip Galvanizing: Dip workpieces into ≥99.5% pure zinc bath (449–460℃) for uniform alloy coating; alloy zinc bath optional for better anti-corrosion.
  • Cooling & Inspection: Cool parts with water or air, then inspect coating thickness, adhesion and appearance.
  • Optional Post-Treatment: Offer passivation, priming and powder coating for customized demands.

The Step-by-Step Hot Dip Galvanizing Processing Technology

The Step-by-Step Hot Dip Galvanizing Processing Technology

At our facility, precision and quality control define each stage:

  • Degreasing: Removal of oils, grease, and dirt using hot alkaline solutions.
  • Rinsing: High-pressure water rinse to remove residues.
  • Pickling: Acid bath (typically hydrochloric or sulfuric) to remove mill scale and rust.
  • Fluxing: Immersion in a zinc ammonium chloride solution to prevent oxidation and promote zinc adhesion.
  • Galvanizing: Immersion in molten zinc at 443–465°C. The iron in the steel reacts with zinc to form intermetallic layers.
  • Quenching (Optional): Water or passivation bath to cool and improve surface finish.
  • Inspection: Visual, magnetic thickness gauge, and adhesion testing per ASTM A123 / ISO 1461.
