ISO IATF16949 Compliant ENP With In-house CNC Machining

CustomParts-MFG delivers full-spectrum electroless nickel plating (ENP) paired with in-house multi-axis CNC machining, certified to ISO9001, IATF16949, RoHS & REACH global environmental specs. Our autocatalytic chemical deposition forms uniform Ni-P alloy coating without external electricity, available in low/medium/high phosphorus grades plus PTFE composite ENP for customized lubrication. With precise thickness control (0.0001~0.005”), our service eliminates edge buildup on blind holes, inner cavities and intricate geometries, widely used across aerospace, semiconductor, medical, automotive and fluid power industries.

Core Outstanding Advantages of Electroless Plating

  • 100% Uniform Deposition: Consistent coating across threads, deep grooves and complex contours, no dog-boning or uneven edge buildup, thickness tolerance controlled within ±0.5μm.
  • Adjustable High Hardness: As-plated hardness 48–52 HRC; after proper heat treatment up to 68–70 HRC equivalent to hard chrome for heavy abrasion scenarios.
  • Superior Anti-Corrosion Barrier: High-phosphorus ENP withstand over 500hrs neutral salt spray test, ideal for marine, chemical and harsh corrosive environments.
  • Self-Lubricated Option: Ni-PTFE composite coating reduces dry friction coefficient down to 0.08~0.10, perfect for release molds and reciprocating moving parts.
  • Zero Hydrogen Embrittlement Risk: Compliant with ASTM B850, safe for high-strength alloy steel critical components without post-plating cracking issues.
  • Flexible Substrate Compatibility: Works on ferrous metal, aluminum alloy, copper and select pre-treated engineering plastics.

Four Classified Electroless Plating Grades for Custom Engineering

Four Classified Electroless Plating Grades for Custom Engineering

Low-Phosphorus ENP (1~5% P)

High hardness & magnetic property, prioritized for hydraulic pistons, gears and high-wear mechanical parts requiring strong abrasion resistance.

Medium-Phosphorus ENP (6~9% P)

Balanced hardness + corrosion resistance, most versatile general-purpose grade for auto components and standard industrial machinery.

High-Phosphorus ENP (10%+ P)

Non-magnetic, dense non-porous layer with premium chemical resistance, specified for semiconductor vacuum parts and medical sterilizable hardware.

PTFE Composite ENP

Embedded solid lubricant inside nickel matrix, combines anti-corrosion and permanent self-lubrication for injection molds and precision valve assemblies.

FAQs About Electroless Plating

How uniform is electroless nickel coating on intricate complex parts?

expand_less expand_more

A: Unlike conventional electroplating relying on electric field distribution, autocatalytic ENP deposits identical thickness on blind holes, inner bores and all irregular geometry without edge thickening.

Can we apply electroless nickel onto aluminum alloy substrates?

expand_less expand_more

A: Yes, we adopt proprietary zincating pre-treatment or direct activation process to realize firm Ni-P adhesion on all common aluminum grades.

What is your regular ENP production lead time?

expand_less expand_more

A: Standard plating cycle takes 3–5 business days after completed CNC machining; fast-track expedited service is available upon urgent project requests.

Do you offer pre-production prototype sample service?

expand_less expand_more

A: Free sample development and performance testing available to validate coating performance before mass production confirmation.

Do you offer different types of titanium anodizing?

expand_less expand_more

A: We provide both Type II (decorative and corrosion-resistant) and Type III (hard coat, MIL-A-8625 compliant) anodizing, along with specialized processes like bio-compatible anodizing for medical applications.

Which materials can be processed with electroless plating?

expand_less expand_more

A: We plate a wide range of conductive and non-conductive materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and engineered plastics. Pretreatment (e.g., etching, activation) is applied to ensure optimal adhesion and coating performance.
