Materials

Here are some common materials for machined parts:
Carbon steel: such as 45 steel, has good strength and toughness, the cost is relatively low.
Alloy steel: such as 40Cr, 35CrMo, etc., with higher strength, hardness and wear resistance.
Stainless steel: in addition to the above 1.4305, there are 304, 316, etc., with good corrosion resistance.
Cast iron: such as gray cast iron, ductile cast iron, etc., often used to manufacture some parts that have low strength requirements.
Aluminum alloy: such as 6061, 7075, etc., light weight, high strength and corrosion resistance.
Copper alloy: such as brass, bronze, etc., with good electrical and thermal conductivity.
Titanium alloy: high strength, good corrosion resistance, but high cost.
Engineering plastics: such as nylon, polycarbonate, etc., can be used for some special requirements or lightweight occasions. Powder metallurgy materials: can achieve complex shapes and good performance.
